Evolution is truly a great place for growth both in terms of the martial arts and personal development. The instructors/owners facilitate a great environment based on honesty, consistency, and effort. Every level, whether it is ones first day or thousandth day, is treated with absolute respect. The instruction is top notch. Every question if asked is answered and no stone left unturned. This is because the instructors truly care about their students and are on the mats training hard alongside their students. They practice what they preach. That in itself sets them apart from many martial institutions out there. Give them a try, guys. You won't regret it.

If you are looking to become part of a family/team then look no further. From day one at Evolution you are welcomed into an ego-free atmosphere with extraordinary instructors, a clean spacious training facility and high-level instruction with safety as the primary concern. This school offers training with focuses to both sport/competition and recreational applications. Truly a pleasure to be a part of it.
Small but supportive team of knowledgeable, supportive coaches. Super clean space with attention to mat cleanliness, diverse group to train with. Gym culture is highly respectful of each person who trains, coaches pay attention to goals of those training. Encourages competition but doesn’t require it, fosters team feeling among those training! VERY WELCOMING TO WOMEN!!!!
My daughter started training about 6 months ago and absolutely loves it. The coaches somehow manage to keep the kids focused. They emphasize integrity, independence and inclusion. She loved it so much it made me want to join. I was very anxious to start but I finally did about 3 months ago. I can’t express how happy I am that I did. I feel stronger and healthier than I have in years. Every person I've met down there has been absolutely awesome. I really cannot say enough good things.

My daughter recently started going here in May and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. The two owners are beyond fantastic. They're incredibly patient with the kids, teach them respect for others and the gym, as well as camaraderie and patience. The instructors are really fun, but keep a tight ship which I really appreciate. I hear the adult classes are fantastic as well. The whole gym feels like a big family and the kid’s class has grown quite quickly just over the last six months. Cannot recommend them enough!

Practicing jiu-jitsu is one of the most important things I do. It keeps me fit, helps to relieve stress and gives me the confidence of knowing that I can defend myself. Jiu-jitsu also introduced me to my closest circle of friends. When I first started at 33 years old, I wasn't sure if I would even be able to make it through the first class. Now I can't imagine my life without it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A gi (or kimono) is a traditional martial arts uniform used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes consisting of a jacket, pants and colored belt, which denotes your rank. When you become a member and are ready to purchase, please make sure it is a BJJ gi, as they are constructed to withstand the rigors of BJJ specific training.
If you are participating in our BJJ classes (gi), you will need a gi jacket, pants and a belt. If you are participating in a no-gi or Combat Kickboxing class, you will need to wear shorts and a t-shirt (some choose to wear compression style rash guards). No shoes are worn on the mat during any classes. You may also want to bring your own mouthpiece, groin protector and bottle for hydration. Ask the front desk about borrowing a gi, boxing gloves, or other gear if you’re not ready to purchase your own. We’re always happy to help.
Classes begin on time, so please arrive at the school with sufficient time to change. Once class begins, there is a warm-up period consisting of exercises designed to increase your cardiovascular, agility and strength followed by drilling of techniques shown by the instructor. The class is often concluded with partnering up and working on techniques that you learned during that class, sometimes in a live training or sparring environment.
Absolutely not! There are so many inspirational stories of people who started martial arts well into their 50’s and 60’s and excelled in the gym and at competitions. We view martial arts as a life long journey that has very little to do with the age at which you start.
There’s no time like the present to get into the shape that you want to be in. Once you begin our classes, you will not only get into great physical shape but you will have peace of mind knowing that you can confidently defend yourself in most situations.
While injury can result in any physical activity, at Evolution BJJ, we mitigate that risk by having an ego free, collaborative and friendly training environment. None of our members have attitude, big egos and no one is trying to hurt one another. We share a mutual goal and that is to make each other better martial artists. Furthermore, our instructors make every effort to pair you up with someone who is at or near your skill level.
Yes, without a doubt! We disinfect our mats and and training equipment on a daily basis. Our facilities are cleaned regularly. Come see for yourself!
